LXXIV

Such transport as the longing gallant cheers,

About to seize the stolen fruits of love,

When, after long delay, the listener hears

The bold within its socket softly move,

Such transport cheered her, of those cavaliers

The prowess and the pith a-fire to prove,

When now the opened portals she descried,

And drawbridge dropt, and issuing knights espied.
