XCVIII

  The lord some matrons of his household crew

  Calls, with two elders, in such judgments wise;

  He marks the dames, and bids them of the two

  Declare which is most beauteous in their eyes;

  And all, upon examination due,

  Cry, Aymon's daughter best deserves the prize,

  And vouch as she in might those kings outweighed,

  No less in beauty she surpassed the maid.
